Who are we?

Fix in Art began as a creative spark inside the
historic FIX brewery in Thessaloniki. Now
rooted in the beautiful landscapes of
Epanomi, we’ve grown into a vibrant
community where art, culture, and
sustainability come together. With the
support of volunteers and EU initiatives, we
create a space for artists, dreamers, and
changemakers to connect, inspire, and build
a better future—one brushstroke at a time.

Fix In Art is a cultural space which hosts
events and actions across the whole
spectrum of the arts from theatre, dance,
music, cinema and the visual arts to digital
and hybrid art and the written word.It
showcases contemporary cultural
expression, supports artists from all over the
world, cultivates international
collaborations, explores the boundaries
between science, art and society, and
promotes lifelong learning for people of all ages.

Giacomo Puccini’s masterpiece opera La
Bohème arrived in Kavala to captivate the
audience with its engaging music and
heartbreaking story. A story full of art,
passion and hardships, it chronicles the
tragic love affair of the poet Rodolfo and the
seamstress Mimi set against the backdrop
of 19th century Christmas Paris.

With more than 120 musicians and
contributors from all over the world, the
production is organised by the Cosmopolis
Festival of the Municipality of Kavala, in
collaboration with the Municipality of
Nuremberg, the Public Music University of
Nuremberg, the Chamber of Commerce of
Kavala, and the non-profit organisation
FIXinArt.

The word Argatia is rooted in the Pontic
language, a group of ancient Greek
dialects spoken by indigenous
communities along the southern Black
Sea since Ionian colonization.

It signifies the collective support given by
an entire village when one person is in
need. Honoring the essence of Argatia, our
meeting will emphasize this cornerstone of
communal support, creating a platform to
celebrate and rejuvenate the community
spirit and communal living.

By bridging the past with the present
through the intergenerational
transmission of practices, we aim to share
experiences in communal bonding, artistic
freedom, and environmental awareness.

How embracing the Argatia perspective
can help us to nurture freedom of living
and sustainability among each other?
